Provided is a method of providing content, performed by a device, the method including: outputting content from the device； determining a learning state of the user with respect to the content, based on biometric information of a user received from a sensing device； changing the content, based on the determined learning state of the user； and outputting changed content. The present disclosure is applicable to intelligent services based on various technology (e.g., smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, health care, digital education, retail business, security, and safety-related service).
