The present invention generally relates to the modification of vegetable lipids containing PUFAs. In this context, the present invention relates in particular to plants and plant materials for such modification, preferably the plant is a fatty seed plant. With regard to plant parts, the invention relates in particular to the seeds of such plants and preferably to the seeds of fatty seed plants. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a plant composition obtainable or obtained by the modification method of the present invention, and a food product or feed comprising such a lipid composition.
