PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed-leaving detection device with high reliability and excellent durability capable of detecting a care-receiver in a non-contact manner in spite of its low cost.SOLUTION: A bed-leaving detection device includes detection means for detecting a care-receiver in a monitoring object space in a non-contact manner with a bed and its periphery as a monitoring object space, and a control part for determining whether or not the care-receiver has left the bed based on a detection signal output from detection means. The bed-leaving detection device uses a luminance distribution sensor 11 as the detection means, which includes a line sensor 110 having a plurality of light receiving elements arranged in a line and a rod lens 120.
