According to the present invention, a furoxane compound having a fluorine atom as a substituent on a ring structure, and a novel nitric oxide donor using the compound are provided. The present invention is a fluorofuroxane compound represented by the general formula (1) or (2). The compound of formula (1) can be produced by reacting a nitrofuroxane compound with a fluoride salt and substituting the nitro group with a fluoro group. The compound of the formula (2) can be produced by irradiating the compound of the formula (1) with light and isomerizing.
