An imaging system (10) and related method, where a marker detection system (MDS) detects one or more markers (MK) spatially arranged in association with an area (A). If the marker detection system (MDS) detects that the area (A) is within a field-of-view (FoV) of the imaging system (10) or is at least within a predefined distance thereof, a control signal is issued in respect of said area (A) to an image acquisition system (ACS) of the imaging system (10). The area (A) may be one of a hand (32) of a human operator or a part of a patient (12) to be imaged.La présente invention concerne un système d'imagerie (10) et un procédé associé, un système de détection de marqueur (MDS) détectant un ou plusieurs marqueurs (MK) disposés spatialement en association avec une zone (A). Si le système de détection de marqueur (MDS) détecte que la zone (A) est à l'intérieur d'un champ de vision (FoV) du système d'imagerie (10) ou est au moins dans les limites d'une distance prédéfinie de celle-ci, un signal de commande est émis en fonction de ladite zone (A) à un système d'acquisition d'image (ACS) du système d'imagerie (10).
