The method involves packaging the seeds in a package shaped as a tube and of plastics sheet, fabric, mesh or wire. The tube has impressions indicating the placement of the seeds or the water feed. The tube can be placed on a support with uprights and perforated metal brackets to allow drainage of excess water. The planters can be modular and can be assembled with connecting strips and arcuate frames with reinforcing wires.
