PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a program capable of preventing wildlife damage without having reduction of visuality to a substance to be protected and uncomfortable feeling.SOLUTION: By the apparatus for preventing wildlife damage, the position of a human and that of a wildlife except a human in a target region 94 to be monitored are detected based on image information obtained by a camera 30 for obtaining the image information of the target region 94 to be monitored which is installed with the substance 80 to be protected by photographing the target region 94 to be monitored, a wildlife damage risk value indicating a level of wildlife damage risk caused by a wildlife against the substance 80 to be protected is calculated based on the detected positions of the human and the wildlife and the installed position of the substance 80 to be protected, and the processing edetermined as the protection from the wildlife damage is carried out by using the calculated wildlife damage risk value.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】被守備物に対する視認性の低下や不快感を招くことなく、獣害を防止することのできる獣害防止装置およびプログラムを得る。【解決手段】獣害防止装置により、被守備物80が設置された監視対象領域94を撮影することにより当該監視対象領域94の画像情報を取得するカメラ30によって取得された画像情報に基づいて、監視対象領域94に存在する人および人を除く動物の位置を検知し、検知した人および動物の位置、並びに被守備物80の設置位置に基づいて、被守備物80に対する上記動物による獣害リスクの高さを示す獣害リスク値を演算し、演算した獣害リスク値を用いて、獣害を防止するものとして予め定められた処理を実行する。【選択図】図2
