PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent redundant import of medical image data.SOLUTION: An image input device 21 for importing medical image data to a medical image management system 22 determines whether content in a medium 13 storing the medical image data to be imported is the same as content in a medium which has been subjected to import processing. A determination is made whether incidental information of the medical image data read from the medium 13 includes inspection information coincident with inspection information of the medical image data which has been imported in the past. A determination is made whether the medical image management system 22 manages a series of the medical image data stored in the medium 13.
