PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a novel sulfur compound extremely effective in imparting a fresh feeling and a roasting scent a flavor composition comprising the same, capable of imparting a flavor of a natural feeling and a beverage, a food product, and cosmetics that are blended with the flavor compound.
SOLUTION: The flavor composition includes a 3-alkylthio-2-alkanone represented by formula (1) (in the formula, R1 represents a 1-9C linear or branched alkyl group, and R2 represents a 1-5C linear or branched alkyl group). The beverage, the food product, and the cosmetics are blended with the flavor compound.
