PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjusting mechanism for a footrest angle which can easily adjust the angle of the footrest so that any user of a wheelchair having whichever symptom can stably place his feet on the footrest.SOLUTION: Clamps 24 which constitute the angle adjusting mechanism 100 of a conventional footrest 16 performs the fixation and the angle adjustment of the footrest by pinching a lower frame 19a and a footrest frame 16a from both sides by two clamps 24 which face each other.
