The invention relates to filtering facilities in food industry and can be used for cleaning different liquid mediums from mechanical and bacteriological impurities, e.g. milk, water, juices and oils. The technical result which can be obtained by using the proposed device is enhancement of the effectiveness of filtering milk and other liquid products and improving the device reliability. The device comprises a housing, in which a perphorated cylinder with a filtering element is mounted. Two elastic hollow cylinders are arranged inside the perphorated cylinder with the filtering element, each cylinder is fixed to the device housing by one of its bases and two other bases are movable and provided with solid and perphorated disks. The perphorated disk serves as a coarse liquid filter. The movable bases of the elastic hollow cylinders are connected therebetween by a rod via disks, wherein the rod is connected with a drive mechanism, controlled by a block. In the device for filtering food liquids, mainly milk, a filtration zone is always formed in the form of a ring surface of the filtering element of the llength due to positional relationship of the elastic hollow cylinders. The control block gives a signal to the drive mechanism depending upon milk pressure in the inlet pipe, determined by a pressure gage, and upon duration of milk filtration over a unit of the filtering element.
