Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein transdermales therapeutisches System zur kutanen Verabreichung von Phenprocoumon, umfassend eine wirkstoffundurchlässige Rückschicht, eine haftklebende Matrixschicht und gegebenenfalls eine wieder ablösbare Schutzschicht, wobei die haftklebende Matrixschicht Phenprocoumon und mindestens ein Matrixpolymer enthält, und wobei der Gehalt an Phenprocoumon im Matrixpolymer ≤ 7,5 Gew.-% beträgt. Durch die geringe Beladung wird sichergestellt, dass das System den Wirkstoff im Wesentlichen in hohen Abgaberaten abgibt, weil eine hohe thermodynamische Aktivität des Wirkstoffs erreicht wird.
