Provided by the present invention is a respiratory muscle strengthening device which: transmits an electrical signal to a muscle electrical stimulator according to an intake start signal or an expiration start signal through a communication means by generating an intake start signal by responding to an intake start point at which a patient takes in air or generating an expiration start signal by responding to an expiration start point at which the patient takes out air； has a muscle pad installed in the respiratory muscle of a patient to enable a smooth breathing exercise by stimulating respiratory muscle based on a signal transmitted from the muscle electrical stimulator； and has a receptor pad in the respiratory muscle. The respiratory muscle strengthening device of the present invention obtains reliability of the device by outputting an alarm to determine whether an electrical stimulus is normal or not from the state of breathing muscle sensed through the receptor pad.본 발명은 환자가 공기를 들여 마시는 흡기 시작 시점에 이에 대응하여 흡기시작신호를 생성하거나, 환자가 공기를 뱉는 호기 시작 시점에 이에 대응하여 호기시작신호를 생성시켜, 통신수단을 통해 흡기시작신호 또는 호기시작신호에 따른 전기적 신호를 근육 전기자극기로 전달하고, 환자의 호흡 근육에 설치된 근육패드는 상기 근육 전기자극기에서 전달된 신호를 기반으로 호흡 근육을 자극하여 원활한 호흡운동이 이루어지도록 하며, 상기 호흡 근육에 리셉터패드를 더 구비하여, 상기 리셉터패드를 통해 감지한 호흡 근육의 상태를 전기자극의 정상 인가 여부를 판단하는 알람을 출력하도록 해, 장치의 신뢰성을 확보한 호흡 근육 강화 장치를 제공한다.
