PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulsimeter and a program which facilitate a device installation at appropriate state.SOLUTION: A pulsimeter comprises: a pulse wave detecting section 10 that includes a pulse wave sensor 11 to output a pulse wave sensor signal 11； a processing part 100 to operate a systaltic information based on a signal from the pulse wave detecting section 10； a display 70 to display a processing result by the processing part 100； a storage part 90 to store an individual information of a subject and the processing result by the processing part 100； and a retention mechanism to hold the pulsimeter on the subject. The processing part 100 estimates a most suitable holding state of the retention mechanism for the subject based on the individual information stored in the storage part 90. The processing part 100 determines whether a pressing force of by the pulse wave section 10 to the subject is proper or not proper. The storage part 90 stores a holding state specific information to specify a holding state information of the retention mechanism when it is determined that the pressing force is proper. The processing part 100 controls the display 70 to display the holding state specific information.
