A multichannel transcranial magnetic stimulation (mTMS) coil device having two or more superposed coil windings in a casing is provided herein. The mTMS coil device is capable of controlling the parameters of magnetic field and induced field stimulation through selective control of multiple coil windings within the mTMS coil device.
