The invention relates to medical aids, e.g. bandages and orthoses, comprising at least one knitted fabric, in particular a warp-knitted fabric, especially warp-knitted fabric without loop pile, said fabric having an open structure that can be stretched simultaneously in the longitudinal and transverse directions. The invention also relates to the use of such knitted fabrics, especially warp-knitted fabrics, in medical aids, e.g. bandages and orthoses, and to methods for producing said medical aids.
