PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which it is disadvantageous in terms of cost since highly accurate processing dimension is required for an optical filter and split and scar are likely to occur to the optical filter due to a configuration.SOLUTION: A light source device for an endoscope includes: a light source； a filter part having an optical filter filtering irradiation light emitted by the light source； and a driving part which inserts/extracts the optical filter in/from a light path of illumination light by driving the filter part. The filter part further has: a body part where at least one opening corresponding to at least one optical filter is formed； and a holding body where at least one opening corresponding to at least one optical filter is formed and which is fitted to the body part.
