32 ABSTRACT 5 OPTICAL TOMOGRAPHY SYSTEM WITH REMOTE COMPUTER CONTROL THE PRESENT INVENTION PROVIDES A SYSTEM FOR USE IN AN OPTICAL TOMOGRAPHY SYSTEM WHEREBY THE MAIN COMPONENTS INCLUDE A SENSOR FIXTURE HAVING AN INNER DIAMETER OF AT LEAST 90MM AND ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE AT LEAST 32 LIGHTING MEANS AND 32 PHOTO-DETECTING 10 MEANS. THERE IS FURTHER INCLUDED A MICROCONTROLLER WHICH PLAYS A MAJOR ROLE IN CONTROLLING THE OPERATION OF THE LIGHTING MEANS AND THE PHOTO-DETECTING MEANS. A DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM (DAS) IS PROVIDED TO PERFORM DATA ACQUISITION IN COLLABORATION WITH A REMOTELY CONNECTED COMPUTER SYSTEM.
