Disclosed are medical device transport systems and methods for making and using medical device transport systems. An example medical device delivery system includes an outer sheath (12). The inner catheter is placed in the outer sheath. The inner catheter (14) has a distal end. The implant is releasably connected to the inner catheter. The implant is configured to transition between a first configuration in which the implant is contained within the outer sheath and a second configuration in which the implant is exposed from the outer sheath. The sheath storage transition member (182) is coupled to the inner catheter.
