PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a verification method that realizes confirmation as to whether or not a necessary matter corresponding to an article is described appropriately.SOLUTION: In an information acquisition step, both identification image information based on an electromagnetic wave reflected by a conductor of an identification image and stored article information based on the electromagnetic wave passing through a stored article are obtained. In an identification step, a kind of an article targeted by a necessary matter is identified on the basis of the identification image information. In a verification step, it is verified whether or not the stored article coincides with the article targeted by the necessary matter, on the basis of the stored article information.
