PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mascara removing agent applicable onto eyelashes uniformly without dropping from the eyelashes at the application time, having excellent feeling of use when being adapted to eyes without stimulus, capable of removing a mascara regardless of the kind of mascara, further having excellent removal action of short-time removability even when two or more kinds of mascaras of waterproof type, film type or the like are applied on piles, washable by water, and having excellent storage stability.SOLUTION: In this mascara removing agent containing at least (A) a hydrophilic surfactant and (B) a clay mineral, the hydrophilic surfactant is polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid ester, and the clay mineral is a clay mineral belonging to an organically modified smectite group, and a viscosity measured by using a single cylindrical rotational viscosimeter under the condition at the temperature of 20°C, with the spindle number of SB No. 3, the spindle rotational frequency of 30 min-1, and the operation time of 30 seconds is 550-1,800 mPa s.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】塗布時にまつげから垂れることなく、均一にまつげに塗布することができ、刺激がなく、目元でなじませる際の使用感が良好であり、マスカラの種類を選ぶことなく除去でき、更にウォータープルーフタイプやフィルムタイプ等の2種以上のマスカラを重ね塗りしていても短時間で除去できる優れた除去作用を有し、水で洗い流すことができ、保存安定性に優れるマスカラ除去剤の提供。【解決手段】(A)親水性界面活性剤と、(B)粘土鉱物とを少なくとも含み、前記親水性界面活性剤が、ポリオキシエチレンソルビタン脂肪酸エステルであり、前記粘土鉱物が、有機変性したスメクタイト属に属する粘土鉱物であり、単一円筒型回転粘度計を用いて、温度20℃、スピンドル番号 SB3号、スピンドル回転数30min-1、30秒間の条件で測定した粘度が、550mPa・s~1,800mPa・sであるマスカラ除去剤である。【選択図】なし
