The invention relates to a transgenic probiotic E. coli cell genetically engineered to express and secrete a nematode-derived immunomodulator. The cell comprises chromosomal E. coli DNA, wherein the genetic information for expression and secretion of the nematode-derived immunomodulator is integrated into the chromosomal E. coli DNA and wherein the E. coli cell is an auxotrophic cell lacking genetic information necessary for synthesizing a compound required for the growth of the E. coli cell. The E. coli cell further comprises genetic information coding for a marker substance that is also integrated into the chromosomal E. coli DNA, wherein the marker substance is a protein which is exclusively synthesized in a gastrointestinal tract of a human or animal by the E. coli cell if the E. coli cell is present in the gastrointestinal tract, but which is not synthesized by enterobacteria that are normally present in the gastrointestinal tract.L'invention concerne une cellule probiotique transgénique d'E. coli, génétiquement modifiée pour exprimer et sécréter un immunomodulateur dérivé de nématode.
