The present invention relates to a feed additive for abalone containing a fermented gulfweed extract as an active ingredient. The feed additive is an eco-friendly and alternative feed additive for abalone using gulfweed as a new alternative source of protein to replace expensive fish meal for cultivating abalone, wherein gulfweed has been disposed to the ocean as waste materials. The feed additive can supplement nutrients deficient in exiting assorted feed for abalone cultivation consisting of basic nutrients, by replacing spirulina, fish meal, and flour with gulfweed respectively.
