In one aspect, the compounds are useful as adjuvants for enhancing the effectiveness of a vaccine. In one embodiment the immunogenic composition comprises a TLR7 agonist of Formula (I) as defined in the specification, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, an antigen, and an aluminium-containing adjuvant selected from aluminium hydroxide, alumina oxyhydroxide and aluminium hydroxyphosphate.
