To provide a low cost pressing device of simplified configuration capable of imparting predetermined pressing force without using a sensor, and a massage chair using the pressing device.SOLUTION: There is provided a pressing device 100 including a motor 10, which is a prime mover, a rotary magnet plate 20 that rotates with an output shaft 12 around the output shaft 12 of the motor 10, in which magnetic poles are interleaved in a rotation direction, a conductive plate 30 formed of a conductive body disposed facing the rotary magnet plate 20 with a required interval, a rotation shaft 32 connected to a central shaft of the conductive plate 30, and a pressing body 40 connected to the rotation shaft 32, whose tip is formed in a pressing part 42.
