PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a bonsai pot which can open an inside of a pot for storing soil and root while keeping conditions as a bonsai pot, even when the bonsai pot is formed of a monolithic natural rock, by a polite devise, and exhibiting tastes as a natural rock, and which can safely culture a plant.SOLUTION: A production method of the bonsai pot is configured to: determine an upper part and a bottom part of a monolithic natural rock S； measure a centroid position of the natural rock； form a drain hole 3 for drainage from the bottom part to the upper part side of the natural rock； insert a depth setting rod 4 having a prescribed length into the drain hole； cut a pot inner part 2 in which soil and root of bonsai tree are put, on an upper part of the natural rock by a cutting tool such as a bit； as the cutting tool reaches a tip end of the depth setting rod, determine that, the cutting tool reaches the inner bottom part of the inner part of the pot, and finish cutting in a depth direction by the cutting tool； then, cut a lateral direction of the inside of the pot, then form a space in which, the root of the bonsai tree and the soil can be stored.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2COPYRIGHT: (C)2020,JPO&INPIT【課題】丁寧な工夫を施すことで、不定形な天然石であっても、盆栽用鉢としての条件を具備したまま、土壌、根を収納する鉢内部を開けることができ、かつ天然石の趣を醸しだすことができ、しかも植物を安全に生育させることができる、盆栽用鉢の製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】不定形な天然石Ｓの上部と底部を決めると共に、天然石の重心位置を測定し、天然石の底部から上部側へ向けて水抜き用の排水穴３を穿設し、排水穴に所定の長さを有する深度設定棒４を差し込み、天然石の上部に、盆栽樹の根と土壌とを入れる鉢内部２を、ビット等の切削具で切削し、切削具が深度設定棒の先端に接したら、鉢内部の内底部に到達したとして、切削具による深さ方向の切削を終了し、次に、鉢内部の横方向を切削すると共に、盆栽樹の根と土壌とが収まる程度の空間を形成する。【選択図】図２
