Disclosed herein is a method for providing localized treatment at a target site in a blood vessel of a subject. The method includes (i) delivering to a vicinity of a target site in a blood vessel a water-immiscible fluid such as to displace blood from the vicinity of the target site, and (ii) administering an active agent to the target site, wherein the water- immiscible fluid and the active agent are mutually immiscible, or substantially mutually immiscible, so that the active agent is trapped by the water-immiscible fluid.L'invention concerne un procédé pour fournir un traitement localisé au niveau d'un site cible dans un vaisseau sanguin d'un sujet.
