Provided are a plant cultivation apparatus and a method for controlling a plant cultivation apparatus. The plant cultivation apparatus comprises: a water tank； a flooding pipe which has a circular or polygonal cylinder shape with the perforated inside, of which one side is connected with the water tank and the other side is connected with a water storage box including a spray nozzle of spraying water, and which transfers water stored in the water tank through an underwater pump； and a plant pipe formed in a pillar shape with the perforated inside on the upper surface of the water tank and having at least one cultivation hole in which plants can grow on sides. According to the present invention, plants can be cultivated in the minimum indoor space.식물재배장치 및 식물재배장치의 제어방법을 제공한다.식물재배장치는 식물재배장치는 물탱크, 내부가 관통된 원통형 또는 정다각 기둥의 형상을 가지며, 일측은 상기 물탱크와 연결되며, 타측은 물을 분사시키는 분수노즐을 포함하는 수조와 연결되며, 수중펌프를 통하여 상기 물탱크에 저장된 물을 이동시키는 관수파이프, 상기 물탱크 상면에 내부가 관통된 기둥형태로 형성되며, 측면에 식물이 자랄 수 있는 적어도 하나의 재배구멍이 형성되어 있는 식물파이프를 포함함으로써 실내의 최소한의 공간에서 식물을 재배할 수 있다.
