A compressible guaifenesin composition containing guaifenesin and a binder andbeing in the form of particles and wherein by sieve analysis, based on thetotal weight of the composition, less than about 30 percent by weight of theparticles exhibit a particle size of greater than about 425 micrometers andgreater than about 80 percent by weight of the particles exhibit a particlesize of greater than about 45 micrometers, provides improved flow propertiesas well improved robustness and flexibility with regard to the processingconditions used to produce dosage forms from such compositions.
