PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which not only prevents the flow and spreading of loose stool or watery stool but also gives comfortable wearing feeling to a wearer and hardly causes skin troubles.
SOLUTION: The absorbent article is equipped with an absorber 22, a top sheet 18 which has at least a part made of a liquid permeable material and is disposed to cover the upper surface of the absorber 22, and a back sheet 20 which is made of a liquid impermeable material and is disposed to cover the under surface of the absorber 22. The top sheet 18 has a flow preventing member 50 which shows a low loose stool flow speed, described below, relative to the surface of the top sheet 18 at a part of the surface, and the flow preventing member 50 is selected from at least one of a concavo-convex sheet, yarn assembly, fiber aggregate , and a flocked fiber. [The loose stool flow speed] is a speed when a pseudo loose stool with viscosity of 200 cps flows on a measured sample disposed on a slope with an angle of inclination of 30°.
