The electric fishing reel has a reel body (3)； a spool (4) which is rotationally supported on the reel body (3)； a motor (5) which drives the spool (4) and is installed inside the spool (4)； and a speed reduction device (6) which delivers the rotation of the motor to the spool wherein the speed reduction device has a first planetary gear (41), a second planetary gear (42) and a carrier-moving prevention member (43) wherein the carrier-moving prevention member (43) prevents the first carrier (41c) of the first planetary gear device (41) from moving toward the motor and maintains the gearing between the first carrier (41c) and a second planetary gear (42s) of the second planetary gear device (42).
