PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy to perform palming in a dual-bearing reel that a brake knob is disposed on the opposite side of the handle attachment side.SOLUTION: The dual-bearing reel includes a reel body 1, a handle 2, a spool shaft 16, a spool 12, and a casting control mechanism 22. The reel unit 1 includes a first cover having a recess 6c, the first cover 6a covering a first side of a frame 5. The handle 2 rotatably is supported by the reel unit 1 on a second cover side 6b. The casting control mechanism 22 includes a brake knob 42, a first plate 41a, and a second plate 42b. The brake knob 42 is screwed onto the shaft support part 7, and disposed in the recess 6c while being prevented from protruding from the first side cover 6a. The first plate 41a is disposed to be contactable with the brake knob 42 and a first end surface 16a of the spool shaft 16.
