PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance operability in measuring a medical image, and also to improve precision in measurement.
SOLUTION: An image measuring instrument generates measurement procedure information, based on a plurality of basic measurement functions, which are arbitrarily selected from a plurality of prepared basic measurement functions (a measurement line plotting function or a measurement value calculating function), and also on the order of the functions, and then, performs the plotting of a measurement line or the calculation of a measurement value, based on the measurement procedure information. When at least one basic measurement function is performed among the plurality of selected basic measurement functions, the plotting of the measurement line or the calculation of the measurement value in the basic measurement function is performed by using points specified by the measurement line plotted before performing the basic measurement function.
