A tilling apparatus for forming at least two spaced apart trenches on either side of a piece of land undisturbed by passage of the tilling apparatus over the piece of land, the tilling apparatus including a transmission, a rotary shaft, a framework arrangement and a cutting assembly. The transmission is adapted to be connected with said shaft to rotate it in response to applying a driving force to the transmission, and the framework arrangement comprises a front frame member, a top frame member and two side frame plates, rigidly and fixedly connected with each other forming said framework arrangement. The cutting assembly includes groups of individual cutters connected to the rotary shaft and spaced apart from each other along the length of the rotary shaft. The individual cutters of one group of cutters are located at spaced apart locations around the shaft for forming said at least two spaced apart trenches upon rotation of the cutters, wherein the width of the trench formed by the second part of the cutter corresponds to the amount of extension outwardly of the second part of the cutter from the first part of the cutter, such that the soil particles removed from the trench are granulated in forming the trench as an aerated layer of soil particles. Various attachments can be provided on the tilling apparatus, either in front of or towards the rear of the spinning blades for different purposes, such as rippers, seeders, levellers, or similar.
