This tube for medical use (10) is provided with: an inner tube (20) which is formed of a polyurethane a reinforcing material (30) which is configured from a wire rod (31) that is formed of a material containing a polyethylene terephthalate and/or a polyamide, and which is fitted to the outer circumference of the inner tube (20) and an outer tube (40) which is formed of a polyurethane and arranged to cover the outside of the inner tube (20) so as to bury the reinforcing material (30) therein. In a cross-section of this tube for medical use perpendicular to the axial direction thereof, the ratio of the cross-sectional area of the reinforcing material (30) relative to the cross-sectional area of the inner tube (20) and the outer tube (40) is set to 5-43%.
