PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidifier for detecting a heart rate and a dehumidification program for detecting a heart rate which enable sufficient humidification.SOLUTION: The humidifier 100 for detecting a heart rate measures the potential difference signal between two electrodes provided at the steering portion of the humidifier or the potential difference signal between the electrode provided at a place separate from the steering portion and the electrode provided at the steering portion. The humidifier for detecting a heart rate calculates the polarity of the clothing of an subject coming into contact with the electrodes used in the measurement of the potential difference signal and/or the intensity of the potential difference signal from the measured potential difference signal.
