PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a general-purpose combine harvester with which an operator can easily get on and off a threshing part.SOLUTION: A general-purpose combine harvester comprises: a reaping part 9 which reaps grain culm a transportation part 10 which transports the grain culm reaped by the reaping part 9, a threshing part 17 which threshes the grain culm transported by the transportation part 10 and a ladder 31 for moving up and down the threshing part, which is provided in an outside position of the transportation part 10 and a front position of the threshing part 17. The ladder 31 comprises a pair of front and rear longitudinal crosspiece members 32, 33 and a plurality of lateral crosspiece members 34, 35 which are horizontally bridged between both of the longitudinal crosspiece members 32, 33 in a vertical direction at intervals. The longitudinal crosspiece members 32, 33 are extended above a step part S which is formed on an outside part of an upper surface of the threshing part 17.
