A medical device is disclosed for cutting substances inside a body lumen, the medical device including a rotatable tubular drive shaft； an expandable cutting member arranged on distal side of the drive shaft； an axial moving shaft connected to a distal end of the drive shaft with the cutting member, the axial moving shaft configured to expand and contract the cutting member by axially moving of the axial moving shaft； a handle configured to retract the drive shaft and the axial moving shaft； and an operating member disposed on a different axis with respect to an axis of the axial moving shaft.
