PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus capable of guiding a laser beam for PDT (Photodynamic Therapy) emitting light based on the on/off operation of a user without controlling a light emitting timing.
SOLUTION: This endoscope apparatus 1 includes: an imaging device 14 for imaging a subject to which either of a regular white light from a light source 73 of a processor 50 or a laser beam for PDT emitting light based on the on/off operation of the user is applied a light intensity regulation section (a diaphragm 76c) for regulating the light intensity of the regular while light applied to the subject by shielding a part or the whole of the regular white light based on the luminance of an image signal obtained by the imaging device 14 and a detection section (a displacement detection section 76d) for detecting the light regulation level by the light intensity regulation section. Whether the laser beam for the PDT is applied or not is determined based on the luminance and the light regulation level detected by the detection section.
