The first controller executes a measurement operation that drives the detector to detect the signal based on the specific substance contained in the sample, and calculates concentration of the specific substance contained in the sample on the basis of the detected signal, and executes a test mode for the measurement operation. The first controller further executes a specific mode that prohibits execution of the measurement operation and only permits the measurement operation when the test mode is executed.
