The present invention relates to compositions and methods for treating infections. In particular, the present invention providesvaccines comprising a Panton- Valentine Leukocidin (PVL) antigen, antibodieswhich bind a PVL antigen and compositions containing the same, methods of makingsuch compositions and methods for treating infections, includingthose that are community acquired methicillin-resistant infections. The presentinvention also provides PVL antibodies, including PVL antibodies specificfor a single PVL subunit, and PVL antigens, including conjugated and mutatedPVL antigens.
