The present invention relates to modified, live Porcine Reproductive andRespiratory Syndrome viruses. Viruseswere genetically analyzed and selected based on phylogenetic grouping formodification by repeated passage in tissue culture. Themodified, live viruses were assessed for the ability to provide protectiveimmunity to heterologous viruses. The modified, liveviruses are useful in vaccines, particularly in vaccines which can treatinfection of swine by multiple heterologous viruses.
