PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pre-shampoo treatment composition, performing both inside treatment of hair and surface protection of hair, improving luster, style forming and allowing fingers easily go through hair to even the hair severely damaged, and excellent in sustaining these effects.SOLUTION: The pre-shampoo treatment composition contains following components (A)-(D), and has a viscosity of 1,000-150,000 mPa s and a pH of 2-5. A hair treatment method having the steps of applying the pre-shampoo treatment composition to hair, rinsing with water and then washing with a shampoo composition is also provided.
