CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for skin whitening contains 0.001-30.0 weight% of Sorbaria sorbifolia var. stellipila extract. The Sorbaria sorbifolia var. stellipila extract is isolated using purified water, alcohol of 1-6 carbon atoms, glycerine, alkylene glycol of 2-6 carbon atoms, alkan of 1-6 carbon atoms, halogenated hydrocarbon of 1-6 carbon atoms, or mixture thereof.
