The present invention relates to an oil-in-water emulsion consisting of water and an oily phase consisting of lidocaine, a first fatty acid, a second fatty acid, the first fatty acid being lauric acid and or tridecanoic acid, the second fatty acid being selected from mystiric acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid and oleic acid, and mixtures thereof. These emulsions are useful as a medicament, especially as an analgesic, antalgic in humans or animals, or sexual retardant. They may be incorporated in a pharmaceutical or veterinary composition, or in a medical device. La présente invention concerne une émulsion huile-dans-eau constituée d'eau et d'une phase huileuse constituée de lidocaïne, d'un premier acide gras, d'un second acide gras, le premier acide gras étant l'acide laurique et/ou l'acide tridécanoïque, le second acide gras étant choisi parmi l'acide mystirique, l'acide palmitique, l'acide stéarique et l'acide oléique, et leurs mélanges. Ces émulsions sont utiles en tant que médicament, notamment en tant qu'analgésique, antalgique chez l'homme ou l'animal, ou retardant sexuel. Elles peuvent être incorporées dans une composition pharmaceutique ou vétérinaire, ou dans un dispositif médical.
