PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device that stabilizes circulating glucose concentration in a subject having a high circulating glucose level prior to a scheduled surgical operation or other stress inducing procedures including those requiring hospitalization, and the device for restoration toward normality of the biochemistry and physiology.SOLUTION: This device has: a circulating glucose level measuring device for measuring an increase of the circulating glucose level from a predetermined level associated with ingestion of a carbohydrate containing meal, and measuring a decrease of a subsequent circulating glucose level caused by intravenous infusion of a series of insulin pulses； an insulin infusion device for injecting insulin in a series of pulses, and delivering the series of pulses every 2-8 times per treatment day； and a control unit for operating the insulin infusion device, and allowing a subject to experience restoration toward normality of the biochemistry and physiology. The subject is a subject without diabetes or the subject who has not already received metabolic activation therapy in a long term.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】入院を必要とするものを含めた、予定されている外科手術又は他のストレス誘導処置に先立つ、循環グルコースレベルが高い被験者における循環グルコース濃度を安定化し、通常の生体化学及び生理状態に戻すための装置を提供する。【解決手段】この装置は、循環グルコースレベル測定装置であって、炭水化物含有食の摂取に付随する所定のレベルからの循環グルコースレベルの増大を測定し、かつ、一連のインスリンパルスの静脈内注入により生じる引き続く循環グルコースレベルの低下を測定する装置と、一連のパルスでインスリンを注入するためのインスリン注入装置であって、前記パルス送達が１治療日当り、２～８回で行われるインスリン注入装置と、前記インスリン注入装置を操作する制御部であって、前記被検者が、通常の生体化学及び生理に向かって回復を経験できる制御部とを有する。前記被験者は、非糖尿病被検者であるか、既に代謝活性化療法を長期に受けていない被検者である。【選択図】図１
