This invention relates to a life and health maintaining and managing device and method. The device consists of a remote control, a displaying device, and a gateway. There are several keys operated on the remote control that are differentiated with different colors for respectively corresponding to the several function modules of the gateway. The receiving unit of the gateway will receive health information from external physiological signal measuring apparatus, which is analyzed to diagnose, to alert, or to be periodically graphed into statistical graphs or tables. The users may send health information to a medical center and to communicate and discuss with far-end medical personnel. This equipment is very easy to use for safeguarding user's health. Furthermore, user may also use other function modules of the gateway, such as view electronic photos, listen to music, check vivid-figured schedule reminder, talk to other family members, and get new living information, so as to keep their lives being well cared and maintained.一種生活與健康維護管理之裝置及方法，其裝置有遙控器、顯示裝置及閘道。經由操控遙控器之數個以顏色區分的按鍵，使之與閘道的數個功能模組相對應。閘道的接收單元所接收到系統外之生理訊號量測機所量測出來的健康資料，作為判斷、警示或定期繪成統計圖表，使用者可傳送至醫護端及遠距離與醫護人員溝通，使用者可輕鬆操作及可達對使用者的健康把關之功效，此外使用者亦可藉由閘道之其他功能組件於家中觀看電子照片、聽音樂、有生動圖像之行事曆提醒、在家即能與親友溝通及得知一些生活資訊，進而達到對使用者生活方面之維護功效。
