To provide an apparatus for releasing chlorine dioxide gas, less affected by chlorine dioxide gas.SOLUTION: An apparatus 1 for releasing chlorine dioxide gas includes: a housing 10； a container 20 that is housed in the housing, and retains a solution W in which chlorine dioxide is dissolved； supply air means (pump 30) that supplies air into the solution in the container； a fan 40 that discharges, from the housing, chlorine dioxide gas generated from the solution； and a controller 50 that controls the operations of the supply air means and the fan.
