PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for preventing birds from staying, preventing a wild bird from causing sparking, fecal pollution or the like by staying on an overhead wire such as a power line and a communication wire, capable of being attached even to a short part and a curvilinearly stretched part of the overhead wire if necessary, and precisely preventing bird injury.SOLUTION: The tool for preventing the birds from staying comprises an inside supporter 10 and an outside rotary body 20 installed in the outer periphery of the inside supporter so as to be freely rotatable. The inside supporter is assembled into a nearly circular shape by attaching to the inner periphery parts a pair of split supporting members 10a and 10b with which elastic engaging fragments 14 and 15 engaging with the surface of the overhead wire 30 or the like are integrally formed.
