PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiographic image photographing system and a controlling method for the same which acquire radiographic image information appropriate for a radiation converting panel.SOLUTION: Regarding the radiographic image photographing system and the controlling method for the same, a photography condition setting section 68 sets a target 24, a filter 26, and tube voltage of a radiation source 14 and a source controller 16 in accordance with sensitivity characteristics of a radiation converting panel 18 selected by a panel selecting section 64. Radiographic image information of a subject 12 is then recorded in the radiation conversion panel 18 with the photography requirement.
